About the Griffins Competitive Program
The Gloucester Griffins Rep lacrosse program has been operating since 1976; each year we have steadily climbed the ladder of success in zone & provincial play. This year we expect to offer one team each at the tyke and intermediate levels and two teams at novice thru midget levels.
The GLA is once again proud to host the Ray Broadworth Memorial Minor Lacrosse Tournament in July.
Rep lacrosse is played throughout the spring and summer. During the 2010 season we will play home and away games against other teams in zone 5 which includes teams from Akwesasne, Brockville, Cornwall, Kahnawake, Kemptville, Kingston and Nepean. Griffins rep teams are also planning on attending 2-3 tournaments during the summer with the culmination of the season taking place at the Ontario Provincial Championships (www.ontariolacrossefestival.ca) in August.
Typically the rep players will have 3 floor times a week + tournaments.
